| What can the Church Roll do for YOU? |
Rostering |
All churches run on the good will of those that Worship with you. This includes the cleaning, morning tea, flowers, readings etc.
You can Roster any member of the Parish to do a set task on a set day. Create a list of those people that do your flowers/mornign tea etc, and Roster them on to do it. We all have people and dates that need co-ordination, now you can see at a glance who is doing what, and when.
|
Delivery/Distribution Lists |
Do you have a news letter that requires volunteers to deliver? Do you have trouble working out who is the best person to deliver to the new family in your parish, and have to get the map out, then work out the person delivering in that area? Have you discovered that Jim Smith is 78, and delivers 10 news letters, 2 of which are actually beyond his immediate walking ability? With this program, you can place people within a small area, and appoint someone within that area to deliver the news letter. Jim Smith can still get his regular walk, but he doesn't have to feel obliged to tire himself out by delivering a letter that Mary Jones could deliver instead.
This allows for a multi-level system that puts people and family units within the same group.

Searching your Roll |
Do you want to target a particular group within the Church family, that meet a certain criteria, and having to do a manual search. With Church Roll, you don't have to. Our Search system allows you to set the criteria, then Church Roll will find the members that fit.
|
Statistics |
Are you a United or Co-Operating Parish, and you need to know for reporting back to the Parent Churches, the number of parishioners of a particular Denomination? All those that belong to specific Denominations. You can enter a denomination for each member, and report on the numbers for that Denomination to your Parent Church.
|
Givings/Tithing/ Stewardship /Donations |
What ever you want to call it, we all need it. Most churches run an envelope system whereby your members have a number allocated to them, they then donate using that number (for privacy and ease of accounting). At the end of the financial year you need a Tax Receipt written out to say how much each person has given. Our Givings Program also deals with the cash put into the plate at a Service, takes note of how many people are at the service, and keeps a track of how many services you have. If you have members paying by direct credit into your Church Bank Account, this information can also be entered into the Givings. All the members need to do is ensure their envelope number is put on YOUR bank statement.
The people entering the Givings only know the envelope number and amount, they do not know who the envelope belongs to. This information is linked back to the Roll, so that at the end of a financial year, a Tax Compliant receipt can be printed out for those using the Envelope or Direct Credit system.
You are then able to get statistics on your Givings, with an overview of where your Funding is coming from. Although part of the overall Church Roll, the Givings runs separately to ensure that confidientiality is maintained.

| Visitor Ministry |
Do you have a Visitor Ministry. How do you know at a glance, who has been asked to visit a particular parishioner. Does a parishioner have a special need that the Visitor needs to know about, you can note that down. You can print out a list of all those parishioners that a particular Visitor has on his/her list.
In the example you see that Stephen Davis is the Visitor, and he is visiting the Cummings and Edwards families.
|
House Groups/
Prayer Groups /
|
What groups does a person belong to. Who belongs to a particular group? Now you can keep track of both, at the touch of a button. You can then print out mailing labels to the members of that particular group. These could be your Mens Fellowship Group, the Choir etc.
You could also use the Area facility and Search facility to find new members for your House Group. By doing a search on a particular Area and finding all the families that live within a few minutes of a House/Home Group, then send an invitation to these people if they aren't already in the group. |
Sunday School /
Youth Groups |
How often does your Sunday School Co-ordinator ask what year the children are in at School so she/he can use appropriate material for their Christian Studies. When you enter a child in the Family Unit, you put in their year. If the child is a pre-schooler, when they reach school age, give them a year. At the beginning of the New School Year, click one button once, and you roll all children over to the next year.
This is a great facility for targeting the new teens/high school students to get them into your Youth Groups.
|
| Family Units vs Members |
In todays environment you will regularly find that you have Blended Family units. You may have Mum, Dad, his children, her children, their children, and Grandma all living in the same house. With our system you can have all those in the household under one Family Unit, and then have the individual members of the Family under their own Family names. As you can see below, Simon and Mary are married, but Mary has a son from a previous relationship.
You are also able to tie different Family Units together. If you have Mum living alone, and Daughter and Son-in-Law also members of your congregation, you can tie these families together. |
